Alan LaGarde started his career in broadcast news as a reporter and anchor after graduating from Northwestern University. After that he helped launch the hit show Forensic Files; beginning his career in documentary television. Al’s varied career path took another turn when he became a college professor and the director of the new TV/Film department at a university. He built that into the largest program at the school, then returned to television in leadership roles on shows like 30 Days and Paranormal State. Al and his team ran hit shows for a variety of networks. They launched Paper Route Productions with one show in 2009. Since then PRP has produced more than 300 episodes of television.
Carter Figueroa got his start working at A&E Networks where he produced documentaries and short form content that covered everything from build shows to crime and natural history. Carter then moved to the History Channel where he worked on the Emmy Award winning special Gettysburg as well as Top Gear USA, America’s Secret Slang and many others. Carter later joined Discovery Channel as an Executive Producer and launched the hit show Alaskan Bush People. Recently he served as the VP of Programming at Stephen David Entertainment where he worked on docudramas and scripted series for AMC, History, Netflix and ID. Carter is now the SVP of Development and Current at Paper Route Productions.
Brian Garrity started his career in the camera department on Queer Eye For the Straight Guy. He developed his producing and cinematography skills on hit series Black Gold, American Chopper and won an Emmy in cinematography for Deadliest Catch. Since joining Paper Route Productions, Brian has been Director of Photography and senior producer for Yukon Men and co-Executive Producer on Escape From… and Alaska Starts Here. Brian is now the VP of Production and Development overseeing all current Paper Route series and development projects.
Dan Zarenkiewicz has degrees in Business and TV/Film from DeSales University. After graduation, he worked in production management on films with M. Night Shyamalan and on the Batman movie The Dark Knight. Dan joined the PRP team as production manager on Paranormal State. He worked on UFO Hunters and Ghost Lab and became a line producer on Brothers on Call and Yukon Men before moving up to Executive In Charge. Dan supervises production management on all current series and development shoots.
